Hello all,

Does anyone know of a good place to get help on learning to script
Illustrator and InDesign?

InDesign has a very consistent and complete scripting
implementation, and i've heard Illustrator is even better.
when you installed InDesign you got more than just a
dictionary -- look in the Adobe Technical Info folder for a
scripting guide (PDF) and some examples.

Adobe hosts an InDesign scripting forum, also available via
a news server, that covers scripting InDesign. you have to
register to access it, but thereafter you can use a
newsreader. (as of a while ago, the news server was posting
everyone's email address even if they had set the option to
suppress it on the web board.)

<http://www.adobe.com/support/forums/main.html>

there's also an independent InDesign mailing list where
scripting questions are welcome.

<http://www.blueworld.com/blueworld/lists/indesign.html>

searching the archives of either of these resources should
help get you started.

(regarding InDesign 2.0, it hasn't been released and there's
little specific info available on scripting changes.)
