Arthur,
I must admit I've missed all of this. It seemed rather too esoteric for me.
But now I'm intrigued: what threads, or links, should i go to read up on
this? What's it do anyway? When I try out the line in the middle of it,
using the number 12 for n, all I get is a non-printing square character in
quotes (in SD 3). If I omit the text -4 thru -1 bit I get
"usrflistTEXTalong"
(Those are squares as I paste - I imagine they'll come out as question marks
in email. Actually, pasting here put squares for the quote-marks as well.)
Even more interesting is if I switch the SD result popup to "AEPrint". Then
I get
"
(Yup, just a single double-quote.) And that's what I get from Nigel's
version too; or a single square using any other result format.
Obviously all this is out of context. So where do I find the context?
Somehow all I can find in my own email folders in this thread are the three
messages (yours, Nigel's, Olof's) going back to Olof's message on 12/12,
although I recall the one of JJ's olof refers to there and I haven't deleted
any email for a couple of weeks. Odd. Did the subject get changed?
