I.e. you can't set this property. (But in certain applications , it's worth
attempting to set r/o properties at the moment of creation:

make new something with properties {cantdo:"do it anyway"}

Sometimes it works. When it does, it's one of the most satisfying
discoveries you ever get in AppleScript.
