Make sure you are VERY familiar with the software. ie. 4-5 years of experience
Without that you'll find it VERY frustrating to script ANYTHING well.
Look at the examples provided by Adobe and completely understand them.
Then tear them apart and use them to help you build your own scripts.
And most importantly... Hang In There. It just takes time.
