I agree. Use Applet Binder to quiet down noisy osaxen, especially
applications masquerading as osaxen (I'm not talking about you, Akua!).

Simply by duplicating the osax file, copying the unique resources from
an empty applet shell into the copy, changing it's file type to APPL
and then running Applet Binder on it...blammo! Instant scriptable
application which can be addressed using tell statements rather than
letting them extend coercions and terminology globally. I have tried
this with several and have had no problems whatsoever.

The bonus is that if you have frequently used handlers that make use
of a particular osax you can centralize them within the applet's
script, so you can customize your osax!

I may toss together a script to automate the process and still plan
on documenting the process (Applet Binder's documentation is limited).

I almost have to write a script for this...I mean the name
"Metamorphosax" that just came to me is too good to be true!

Applet Binder is currently available at:

R23 sez it rocks!

Of the "One Step Beyond" website produced by R23, an unforgettable
AppleScriber (whose name escapes me now) glowingly remarked:
"Is it some kind of Zen puzzle? Please fix."
