But...do your users have write access to the files in the app's folder?
(Only an issue if the file needs to be written now and then, not if it is
installed and never changed.)

Will they continue to have write access if
the application is loaded from a server; or
the users move to Mac OS 9's multiple users feature; or
the users move to Mac OS X?
