AppleScript, FMP & Windows

  • Subject: AppleScript, FMP & Windows

Hello all,

I am new to Applescript but I am a somewhat experienced FileMaker Pro user.
I would like to send e-mails from FMP. Because of the e-mail program we use,
I can't use FMP's built in e-mail capabilities. However, I have been
successful in using Applescript to create an send e-mail. Unfortunately,
that was on my Mac. The database I need to do this from is on an Windows NT
and is shared on both Windows and Mac. And as you all know, an applescript,
even one residing within FMP, won't run on a PC.

So, I am wondering if any of you Applescripters have ever worked with
FileMaker and have come up with some sort of workaround to allow Windows to
run an applescript. I'm thinking there must be some way to get FMP to run an
applescript on a Mac somewhere.

I took an Applescript course to learn how to do this and now I'm stuck
because of those PCs, the irony!

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
