Hi all,

I've read several times some comments about 'a reference to' saving time with lists and list items.

Will someone be kind enough to explain me that once and for all? I mean, I'm working on a silly project that involves merely lists and list items, and where speed _is_ a matter. So I would like to know when to use the reference form, inside/outside of handlers, with some lists or big lists etc.

I also accept urls to any resources :)

Thanks in advance,

Serge
