Mount Volume problem (yes, another one)

  • Subject: Mount Volume problem (yes, another one)

I've been having the same Mount Volume problem everyone else seems to have
had with 9.1. I've read the posts but I guess I'm not getting it.
Apparently Mount Volume uses the keychain to check for the password. But
what if no keychain exists? I have a script that is on many lab machines
that don't have keychain files. I use the following syntax:

mount volume "afp://(name of server)/(name of directory)" as user name
"myname" with password "thepassword"

I always get an incorrect password error. What am I doing wrong/missing to
make this work in 9.1? Any and all help most appreciated. I only have a
few hairs left and I'd love to keep them if I can.
