Your syntax for the second one looks right for mounting a volume via TCP/IP.
Does your server support TCP/IP connections? Have you checked the "Enable
File Sharing clients to connect over TCP/IP" checkbox in the File Sharing
control panel on the server? (Another possible problem is that you have a
key in your Keychain that provides the password for this server, but the key
is associated with another volume attached to that server; there are
problems with Mount Volume mounting the wrong volume when you have multiple
volumes attached to one server.)
I don't use AppleTalk connections so I can't be sure, but the syntax for the
first one looks right, too.
Is File Sharing turned on on the server?
