[OT] Mac OS 9.1 stability

Mac OS 9.1 appears to be astonishingly stable (for a Mac). I just checked the
ticks (Jon's Commands) and it indicates 8 days, 5 hours, 50 minutes of
uptime. Since this does not include sleep time (for the computer), I'm sure
it's been at least twice that long since I rebooted. During this time I have
had over 20 apps open simultaneously and continuously, including Nav 4.76,
AOL 3, BetterTelnet, Fetch, Big Brother, GIFConverter, Interarchy, WebSTAR
Admin, Script Editor, Smile, BBEdit, Photoshop, Now Up-To-Date, Sherlock,
InTouch (9.1 has even fixed the long standing double paste problem),
ClarisWorks, SimpleText, Big Brother, GraphicConvertor, Timbuktu, URL Access,
and Stickies. I have experienced 3 "Application has unexpectedly quit"
messages but the Mac goes merrily on.

It's almost enough to make me wonder how much we need Mac OS X : )

History is interesting. An apple fell on Newton's head and he invented
Calculus, while Bill Gates invented Windows and got a pie in the face.
