I plan to start using it to replace the total of 5 characters that get
munged if I ever see them in one of my posts.

I rely on indents to alert people to wraps (probably a dumb idea)

and almost never post scripts with chevrons but occasionally use

the <= combos.

Just one thought... there doesn't seem to be a consensus on what characters
to sub for what... maybe the characters Chris suggested would be better?
