One can also accomplish this with QuicKeys. QuicKeys 5.0 will launch an application, launch an AppleScript applet, or execute a complied script. I prefer this approach to ResEdit hacking.

There are other macro applications as well, such as One-Click and Keyquencer, that I believe will do this. QuicKeys, however, is the one I'm most familiar with. <http://www.quickeys.com>
