Oh! HC is better to control QT as well...

Just my two cents
Yeah there's actually a number of useful goodies written for hypercard.
I was a little surprized when I opened up a card's script and found the
popup listed AppleScript, JavaScript and HyperTalk... hey why doesn't
Script Editor do hypertalk too?
And it appears with Ed Lai's XCMD Osax, it wouldn't be difficult to
run most existing XCMDs (there's a lot of them out there). XCMD Osax
includes a Run XCMD command, so like his Programmer's Tool, the osax
is extensible. That's pretty cool doods!
Anyone interested in following up on HyperCard/AppleScript synergy
might want to check out the Rinaldi Collection (many are included
in XCMD Osax). This one collection alone has around 100 XCMDs and
may include some functions not found in an osax file...yet.

The only reason I still had the link was due to a new script tool I
wrote that masquerades as Stuffit Expander so that it can preserve
the url in the comment box that usually gets tossed with the .bin or
.hqx wrapping. I'll probably upload it soon, same goes for Metamorphosax.
Too many distractions lately.
