deselecting on the Finder

  • Subject: deselecting on the Finder

Hi all. I am a beginner scripter. I'd like to write a script that moves
everything but a certain standard set of items from the Desktop to a
specified folder. I tried selecting everything, then deselecting the
standard set so I could then move the remaining selections, but I cannot
seem to define the "deselect" variable correctly. Can anyone help me?
Thanks in advance.
