I don't know about the numbers, I use them a lot too but I don't notice
whether or not they're from the same seed...And this may solve it for you:
But, You said you have a powerbook, it isn't good for the battery to turn it
off. It is sugested that you leave it on sleep unless it won't be used for a
week or more. My iBook works fine under this plan, so I don't know of any
disadvantages.
Also, this would solve the problem by keeping it on so it didn't reset the
seed as it appears to do.
