Why do newbies think that it is a good idea to say something
like "help, question, etc... from Newbie"

Because it can be difficult to invent a concise description, especially for a newbie (like myself) who is unable to articulate in "proper" scripting terms the concept of what they are trying to do. I sometimes pull my hair out before I can settle on an effective title. Not all people will persevere. Maybe he has already spent too much time trying to write the script and has run out of time and patience.

I'd rather have a "newbie" subject title than a vague subject title, or digest number title.

I respectfully suggest there are more important things to complain about.
