To which R23 added:
I have found plenty of ways to crash AppleScript, being one of those
fringers who tries everything. As one AppleScript luminary put it:
"In terms of the bell curve of use, you're way, way out in the tail."
Hmmm, is that a compliment or should I be really offended?
Anyway, I have yet to crash because of an idle handler and I've let
those run for several hours feeding download urls to InterArchy which
is not exactly a model of scriptability. I'm using Mac OS 9.0.4 but
not AppleScript 1.3.7!

Now this is way way off topic, but I guess it'll kinda go along with the
fringe thing. It seems to me there would be fewer junkies trying to
bash you over the head for a few bucks if their heroin were cheap, legal
and clean (but not safe of course, that junk could never be safe, not
like alcohol anyway) and people didn't have to be so afraid of treatment.
Of course then police agencies wouldn't need as much tax money and
thousands would be out of work...the DEA would be forced to lay
people off. What a shame. When do we declare victory?
It's kinda lonely when one thinks for oneself. 8)
