I don't know if this would satisfy your needs, but we just serve the folders
as the clients site and a single pointer to the folder with the PDF's.
We auto-sort the pdf's by year folder, by month folder and by day folder for
each client. It's been working great for a couple of years now. We send an
e-mail out for each new added document when it's posted to the web site. The
e-mail includes the URL to the PDF. The clients' side is password protected.
This keeps us from having to constantly re-update the web site.
