But for the new user (like my Dad who just bought an iMac and wants to do
these kinds of things), you can beat the great interface and the price. I
just upgraded my version of Audion last week so that I can encode MP3's
and had I waited until Tuesdays annoucement, I would not have upgraded.

I think Apple has hit the bullseye with iTunes (and even more so with
iDVD). It's a great program for the new user or those people that don't
want or need skins, etc. and for those that want more (like skins and
scriptability) then you can cough up the extra bucks to get that.
