I know that FileMaker Pro is a great program to create

FM is extremely limited in web serving, but is pretty easy to use out
of the box.
So can AppleScript automatically transfer data of names, addresses,
email addresses and crecit card numbers into FM from a
datatbase-enriched website (which is created by Dreamweaver
UltraDev) and email invoices back to clients/customers?
In short ... no. UltraDev is designed to build web apps in ASP, JSP,
or ColdFusion environments. There are Lasso plug-ins for Dreamweaver
and GoLive which provides a GUI development tool for connecting to FM
databases (among others), but there is nothing (except for the now
defunct HomePage) which will allow you to do the same for FileMaker's
CDML. In addition, FM doesn't have support for SSL so transferring
credit card info wont be secure.
If you want to do some e-commerce I suggest using 4D. It is a much
more powerful and flexible DBMS and has powerful web tools built
right in <
http://www.4d.com>, or you can use Webserver4D which is an
entire web server(and optional e-commerce app) built natively in 4D
code <
http://www.mdg.com>.
If you insist on using FM then at the very least you should consider
purchasing Lasso - you may also want to have a look at the plug-in
for DreamWeaver (Lasso Studio) if you don't want to hand-code
everything. <
http://www.blueworld.com>. In fact, if you do choose
Lasso then you have the ability to switch out database back-ends with
very little reworking of you code. You can then scale from FM to 4D
to Oracle if you really wanted.
