Maybe the "Imperial" inch Apple provides is correct in Canada and the UK.

for "meters 1 as inches as used in Canada" :-)


They don't let us Canadians use inches anymore.

I should check, but I think we have 100 centimetres per metre.

Hey, maybe that's it:

39.3700787 inches in a metre

39.37 inches in a meter

There aren't nearly enough subtle, quasi-synonyms in AppleScript.
