Not if it doesn't want to. ;-)

A *string* is a specific data type, and it seems fairly consistent
that AppleScript would always *read* a string from one direction.

By the way:

> set foo to "Michelle Steiner"

foo's items's reverse as string

> "renietS ellehciM"
