Replace with ASCII 11 in MS Word??

I haven't been able to get MS Word to accept insertion of ASCII
Character 11 (as a replace character) -- is it possible to use
Applescript to do this replacement?

In other words is there syntax to get word to replace one character, with
another that's specified by its decimal/ASCII number???

Thanks
xandra
