It's not a "function" which can be disabled, it's a limitation of Script
Editor: 32K bytes when saved as text (not script) is the limitation.

No, Smile has no such limitation. Use Smile, for that and 100 other reasons.
Script Debugger also does not have the limit, but costs $180 or so.
