Hi Jason,
I believe it stores a clipping of the image (not a reference). As a result,
I don't think you have many options for graphic formats inside a FileMaker
database (and even with small PICT/JPG thumbnails, the DB's performance is
greatly degraded). We've been using Cumulus successfully for image
management with AppleScripts functioning as conduits between the FMP DBs and
the Cumulus DBs.
