This happened to me when I tried to use QuicKeys to automate the automator.
As long as i didn't use Quickeys it didn't happen.

Try re-compiling all the scripts in the System Folder:Scripts folder with AS 1.5.5. Recompile scripts in the Universal folder as well as application folders in the Scripts folder as well.
