Disk Copy SMI without checksum verification

  • Subject: Disk Copy SMI without checksum verification

With help from a script by Takahashi Susumu, I've recently figured out how
to use AppleScript to get Disk Copy to convert a regular disk image into a
self-mounting image (SMI) such that when the SMI self mounts it also starts
a particular application. Happily, when that application quits, the
self-mounted disk is unmounted automatically.

However, in my environment (mounting the disk on clients from an SMI on a
server), the preliminary checksum verification that occurs during self
mounting is onerously slow, and I'd like to disable it. Does anyone know of
a way to create the SMI such that later, when the SMI self mounts, it does
NOT do a checksum verification? I know that it is possible to set
preferences in Disk Copy itself such that, when it mounts a non
self-mounting image, the checksum verification is not done, so I hope that
there is some way to do the same with an SMI.
