i second (or third) the request that the many known bugs be
fixed.

also, it shouldn't be made much harder for XPress to crash
the machine while executing script commands (in other
words, XPress should enforce internal consistency.

further, it would be very desirable for the object model to
be complete. for instance to access inline boxes without
kooky workarounds, or to be able to delete a color and
replace it with another for all objects without
exhaustively searching the document, or to be able to
conveniently manipulate invisible codes in text...

it would also be nice if Quark would resume publishing
a Frontier glue table (they used to include one, but now
you have to assemble it yourself).
