Stef,
I have experienced the contrary: a crash while updating, manually,
the missing images of a document, but only when there were lots
of images. On opening the document I got the dialog, selected
the first line, located the image file, clicked on "Update" then
confirmed the message that there are other files in this folder.
The status of all images is now "Modified" and you have to update
each one by clicking on "Update". It happened that XPress crashed
after having updated a certain number of images.
This only happened from time to time. I think I can't repeat
it at will.
However, I've never experienced a crash when updating the links
by script. The environment is the same as yours (Sun and OPI)
with the only difference that I'm still with MAC OS 8.6.
I guess there must something wrong with your script. Post it here
(or send it to me).
Regards,
Hans
