I get the same here with 9.1

I haven't had an FMP quit yet but I do get he same error. Also, the text
doesn't become visible until TE+ is made active and then the text is
invisible (white) even though the menu says it's black (probably just a
screen redraw issue though)

same here.

FWIW, it appears much of the quitting I was experiencing could be related
to the event log and/or data window. It seems whenever I have them open
the script would stall (goes into what looks like an endless loop) when
it hits the styled text line. Closing the event log and data window
_seems_ to make it work the majority of the time.

I currently have it working but I'm not convinced it's robust.
