What you need to look at is "Network Setup Scripting" which lives in the
Scripting Additions folder of the more recent OS releases. Also you may want to
look at the "Location Manager" control panel. Either of these can be scripted to
change your configurations.
The Applescript Guidebook module for Open Transport (Networking) has some good
example scripts of how to accomplish the switch. The URL for the module is -
