If the scripting addition isn't written for Mac OS X, you're out of luck
until they produce a new version.
If it is a Mac OS X Scripting Addition, you'll want to put it into
/Library/Scripting Additions
(creating that directory if it isn't there).
/System/Library/Scripting Additions is for Apple to put things into.
As an alternative, if you want only your account to be able to use the
Scripting Addition, would be to put it into
/User/<you>/Library/Scripting Additions
