Macintosh Manager Conversion script

  • Subject: Macintosh Manager Conversion script

I'm working on a "manual" Macintosh Manager conversion script that will copy
existing Documents from users folders to their new home directories on OS X
Server.

The document folders currently reside in a folder called users then a folder
that lists their whole name. "sharepont:Users:"full name":Documents"

I have already created the OS X Server home directories but the names are
not exact (the new home directories are now are only 8 characters) but...the
folders ARE in the same exact alphabetical order as the previous list.

All I need to do is move all of the documents folders from one directory
(with their full name) to their new location (a shorter version of their
name).

I am new to AppleScript and cannot seem to get this working correctly.

Thanks in advance,

Keith
