Looks like a bug to me -- I've written it up. You can get the correct result by saying "count (get contents of rec)" instead.

Just so the right bug gets tackled, the problem is not with lists or records but with count:

length of (contents of rec)
--3

So rec and its contents are fine. Count is a little myopic...
