[OS X] applet interfering with logout/shut down

  • Subject: [OS X] applet interfering with logout/shut down

Hi all,

If I have an OS X applet running in OS X when I attempt to shut down (or log
out), I get a dialog with something like:

'The logout procedure was cancelled by the application "MyApplet". Please
quit "MyApplet" and try to logout again.'

However, MyApplet has actually quit, and a second try at logging out is
successful. This does not occur if a "normal" application such as TextEdit
is running at log out time. Those quit without incident. This may not be
harmful, but it is a nuisance.

Does anyone have an explanation? Is there something I can do to avoid the
need to try to log out/ shut down twice or quit MyApplet before logging out?

Thanks,

Don
