1. Updates from Apple for things in the folder will break.
2. You won't be able to install Mac OS X properly (of course, you machine
my not support X anyhow). The folder Applications contains Mac OS X
applications.
3. You will have trouble sharing scripts, either incoming or outgoing.
I'm sure there are more reasons.
My advice: get used to the new name.
