As I mentioned in email, you can open and save text files in Word; unless
there's a reason to save the document in word format, you don't have to
use word to handle that list.

There is also BBEdit Lite, which is freeware, if you need a text editor
for the document. it can handle files of any length.

The script I wrote will work with any text file, regardless of which
application created it, and works directly with the file, so you don't
have the overhead of an application.
