What is the default seed for the Random number command in the Standard

They are pretty "random". There was a thread about this a couple of
months ago and it flogged that topic to death. I ran tests on randoms
from a specified range and after a few million random numbers having
been generated within that range, the distribution statistics were in
line with what theory predicts. So the answer is, they appear to be
random. It would take longer runs to determine if there's any problem
with the "randomness". I would not hesitate to use AppleScript's
random numbers for most purposes.
