Can we use AS to do this someway? Or, does Entourage have a nice method

There are a couple of archivers already out: check versiontracker. To my
mind, the very best one, which allows you to select the email folders you
wish to archive from, to set date limits and determine priorities, flags,
etc. as markers for archiving if you wish, to search after archiving by
umpteen methods, and to reply directly to a found email in the archive by
your email client of choice, has been written entirely in vanilla
applescript to archive email messages from Claris Emailer, Outlook Express
4 and 5, Eudora, Newswatcher, and Entourage by John Carsten, who had done an
earlier version for HyperCard (which he is also updating and is included)
and is in the final stages of beta testing. I suspect you'd be still be
welcome to test it. You can join the beta list and get the latest build of
eMessage Archiver by sending an email to
<email@hidden>
It will probably be released as very inexpensive shareware very soon. It has
been an enormous labor of which your question is innocently unaware. John
has been working on this FMP version for close to a year now!
