Only under AS 1.5.5 that came with OS 9.1. The best solution is to upgrade
to AppleScript 1.6 by using your Software Update control panel, AS 1.6 also
has other improvements, as well as this bug fix. You do still need the
security modules (extensions) installed to use the 'mount volume' command,
as you should, but no others.
