Something on my system is killing AppleScript sometime after startup.
Scripts crash on launch with a "type 2 error". I don't think it's an
extension conflict, because I don't seem to have problems right after
booting up, only after working for some time. It shouldn't be a
memory shortage either, since I have 384 MB of RAM. Does anyone have
any idea what might be going on?

In the very first instance I'd try a desktop re-build (restart holding down
option-command and follow instructions).
If that doesn't cure it, time for Norton Utilities.
