I believe it's already been answered; but I'll reiterate for whoever it was
that originally answered your question:

In short, this is not something you can change in one place in the system
and have it effect all scripts. The code that displays that edit button is
built into each script you create. To change it would require changing the
low-level machine code in each script you want to effect.

I believe someone said that BBEdit installed a package that shows how to do
it. Go back and read all of the messages in this thread and you will find
that information.
