loosing variables in a droplet

  • Subject: loosing variables in a droplet

Bonjour,

Excuse me in advance for my ignorance, as I am new to this powerful technology.

I am trying to make a make a droplet but I am apparently not declaring the variable in the proper way. I am going between two applications.
The script works fine when it is "on run" but doesn't when it is "on open".

I am declaring the variables outside any handlers and I also tried to declare them inside a Tell application "Finder" without success.

I am sure I am missing something basic but what?

Any help or insights will be welcome.

Thank you in advance,
