I've finally graduated to an OS version with a version of AppleScript
that supports folder actions. I am not, however, finding any materials
on how to write them, how to use them, or their syntax. Where are the
folder action script instructions hiding?
There seems to be a fair amount of info in the help center (at least
under OS 9.1). The help center is accessed via the Mac OS help menu
while the Finder is frontmost. If you don't find anything in the help
center on your system, it may be necessary to install the related
modules, which can be found at:

If I'm not mistaken, these help files can also be viewed with a
browser, such as Internet Explorer and/or Netscape.
