Absolute Positioning in PhotoShop 5.5 with PhotoScripter

Hi everybody,

I'm working on automating the addition of graphic objects to pictures using
PhotoShop 5.5 with PhotoScripter. Basically, a logo goes at the bottom of
the image, and IPTC text (Caption) is used to create a new text layer below
it.

My questions are...

- Absolute positioning is not working with the 'MOVE <object>'.. only
relative... and only when the image resolution is 72 dpi (what the heck is
this?)... and the values used to define a (point) are implemented as (percent)
even if you as 'AS PIXELS' as per the examples in the manuals and sample
files....!!!!!

- Absolute positioning works much better with the 'TRANSFORM' command...
provided that whatever you're moving is already selected.... Question:How do
I select all non-transparent pixels as in command clicking the layer thumbnail
in the layers palette?

- Is there a property or any technique to return the dimensions/boundaries of
a rectangular selection that is the current selection..

Thanks for the help and best regards to everybody.

Mohamed Shams
