Well it does, as the new laws define an email as an original literary
work. Even if copyright was not automatically applied (which it is), all
someone needs to do is stick the copyright sign in their email signature
and there could be trouble - even under the previous laws.

As to originality, I must say much of what I see here is very original -
even if not always intentional:-)
