working with alerts (in Netscape)

  • Subject: working with alerts (in Netscape)

Hello all,

New to the list, and new to AS -- but I hope to catch on quick. So here goes:

I would like a script that hits "reload" on a Netscape web page (using command 'GO window direction again') and avoids (or deals with) the dialog that asks "repost form data?"

I've tried everything, including Akua Sweets (which is incredible, btw), using the "automate alerts after -1" command, which immediately clicks the default button of any future dialog box. However, the 'repost form data' alert brought up by Netscape seems to be impervious to everything, even Akua Sweets. The Netscape dictionary lists "alert application" as a property (of no specific type) of the class application. It sounds like I need to use Apple Events?

I wish Netscape had Excel's DisplayAlerts [false] command!

Thanks,

Jeff Schultz
