I've never used/heard of IP Showcase, but I've used "bluIP"
to script RETRIEVING the IP address, then posted it to a password
protected web site via URL Access... I see no reason why you couldn't
script emailing the ip instead.
I was never able to extract the IP address from my 9.0 Mac running
DHCP on a cable modem.. although I could write a script to retrieve
it from a PPP connection... using "bluIP" was a workaround for this
problem, but I've switched to static DSL so I stopped exploring it.
