That was a (supposed) issue with OS9. Apparently, it was resolved.

Maybe Apple was concerned that people would hear "Oh Es Sex" and didn't want
the un-family-friendly connotation (of course, where do families come from?).

I predict that Apple will be unable to stop the populace from saying "eX."
